Biography
An unusual band comprised of three Argentinean nationals and a pair of Polish immigrants, Uqbar existed for several years in the early nineties when they recorded most of the tracks that were intended for release at the time, but ended up being issued along with a handful of later tracks in 2004 as the lone studio work of the band.
Uqbar's music is all-acoustic and all-instrumental, heavily imbued with classical, chamber-like arrangements, and rich with modern moods. The album received little notice at the time but is generally well-regarded by the few progressive aficionados who have discovered it in the ensuing decade.
