Biography
The Defórmica project starts in July 2004 as a search for necessary renewal in the musical concept. The plot of silence, the clean slide notes and harmonies are combined in a special aesthetic for others can go back to the influences of Jazz, Tango and '70s Progressive Rock. Initial training had: Martín Benito (drums), Leonardo Ghernetti (guitar) and Lyon Iglesias (bass). In order to increase the sound and creative flow that comes with a few months Defórmica concept adds to the project Nicolás Pedrero (guitar).
During the month of december 2004, Defórmica recorded in Tecson Studio his first EP “Entitled” presented in "Teatro Ricardo Durán", Castelar. During the 2005 Defórmica continues performing at various locations both in Capital Federal and Greater Buenos Aires.
In the persistent pursuit of consolidating the musical concept in a compositional way enters Defórmica Alejandro Carrau (Piano Rhodes and synths), also a member of Juan Ravioli and Lucas Martí. With this formation, in january 2006, Defórmica recorded on the "Del Cielito" Studio his first album, "H".
The recording and mixing were conducted by Gustavo Gauvry. This album is published by Viajero Inmóvil Records label and distributed in Europe and the United States reaping rave reviews . The "Uzbekistan Progressive Rock Pages", “H” stands as one of the 20 best albums of 2006 progressive.
In 2007, 2008 and 2009 continues to grow, achieving maturity in the music and sound live performances.
In early may 2010, he released his second album, "Paramo", with the participation of Juan & Andrés Ravioli, and Lucas Andrés Martí as guest musicians. Also instrumental help of Pepe Céspedes (Bersuit Bergarabat bassist) and Franco Italiano (Interama drummer). Recorded in the "Del Cielito" Studio and “Deforme” Studio by Leo Ghernetti.
In 2013 they released their third album independently, which bears the same name of the band: "Defórmica".
