Biography
Band formed in mid-2004 by Renato Amorim (guitar / vocals), Elton Amorim (Low) and Giorgio "Palmer" (Drums). At that time, the name chosen was "Machine Gun" and performed covers of bands like Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin and others. In late 2004, Ruben Yannelli (vocals) joined the band.
In 2005, with the maturity of the group, renamed Cosmo Drah, also wrote his first songs and playing covers of more "sophisticated" manner. In September 2006, Giorgio "Palmer" left the band, leaving it until early 2007, the time spent on finding a replacement for the drums, but without success. Meanwhile, he was born a side project with guitarist Anderson Ziemmer (friend and guitarist of the band Phrenesis), with Renato playing drums, doing covers of Captain Beyond, Dust, Cactus and Cosmo Drah own songs. To take nearly six months without a drummer, the band invites the guitarist Ziemmer to finally join the group, and therefore, Renato becomes the new drummer.
Cosmo Drah remains firm with this training, in order to restore sound and good ideology of the old seventies, Hard Rock with influences from Black Sabbath, Grand Funk Railroad, Jimi Hendrix, Pappo's Blues, Dust, Som Nosso de Cada Dia, Raul Seixas, among others.
