During their primary school, Lito Vitale played with his friends. In 1976, He formed M.I.A. (Músicos Independientes Asociados), together with his sister Liliana Vitale, Alberto Muñoz, Juan del Barrio, Nono Belvis, Daniel Curto and Esther Soto - Rubens Vitale in the organization and coordination. But the group also had sound and light technicians, , graphic designers, etc. M.I.A. was more than a musical group. It meant a cultural space, a place to search and experiment. There, Lito Vitale, besides playing piano and, was in charge of the technique. Something to point out: the members and friends of the group make the covers of the records of M.I.A. "by hand". Under MIA they recorded four records. The strange thing was that during the concerts they made the people fill in some forms to keep them informed of the news by mail, and they also sold them the records by means of a subscription, before the record was released. They usually rented the theatre "Santa María del Buen Ayre", located downtown. There they organized different cycles, from auditions of imported records and conferences, to "jam sessions". In one of them, Lito had the opportunity to contact Luis Alberto Spinetta, who invited him top join the legendary group "Spinetta Jade". In 1980 when they played at the Obras Sanitarias stadium, M.I.A was falling apart due to the various musical styles that had originally formed it.
