Biography

Mayra Dómine on piano and Rodrigo González on drums and percussion have shared a musical project for more than 10 years, initially in trio format (Vimana Ram) and four years ago in duo format.

They were presented in venues such as Café Vinilo, Borges 1975, Teatro El Popular, Vuela el Pez, El Tanque Cultural, CCNU, GalpónB, Ciclo Artemia (streaming) and Unísono (TV Pública).

Their proposal is a contemporary fusion with a strong personality, where influences from jazz, classical music, progressive rock and world music appear. The compositions give prominence to both the melodic and the rhythmic, which includes irregular rhythms, polyrhythms and moments of improvisation.

The duo underpins a product with energetic, intimate and captivating atmospheres.

They have been chosen in second place as the revelation group for the “El Intruso” 2023 survey.

That same year they released their first independent record production under the name “Almas inquietas”.
