After a long and patient wait, this album, a work long-shelved by time, is finally available. It was originally recorded in 2012, just before the passing of Daddy, the legendary drummer for bands like Ave Rock, Orion's Beethoven, and Pastoral. Following a personal setback, the musician returned to his craft, collaborating with members of Las Orejas y la Lengua and the distinguished guitarist Alan Courtis (of Reynolds). The album’s musical character is defined by its irregular meters and dense sonic layers. Its melodic and harmonic arrangements reveal a singular blend of Progressive Rock and Krautrock, enriched by influences from Rock in Opposition, Folklore, Jazz, Avant-garde, Latin music, and Hardcore.

Once again, Canturbe strengthens and confirms its identity of being Buenos Aires’ Urban Music purveyors. Their compositions range between Progressive and Symphonic Rock, Tango, and Milonga, presenting rhythmic and sound variations on each composition. Additionally, the songs’ lyrics tell stories about the city, while reflecting Argentina’s current social situation, through their own vision.

At long last, an unpublished work by Jorge López Ruiz and featuring texts by José Tcherkaski, finally sees the light of day. This is the very much anticipated sequel to his “Bronca Buenos Aires”, which was recorded in 1973, and banned by the dictatorship of then Argentine President, General A. A. Lanusse. For many years, these tapes were believed to have been burned, but after several years, they have been rescued. This Argentine Jazz, 4-movement effort, introduced very committed texts and stories from times of harsh military repression.

In November 2020, the Argentine band Nexus held a streaming concert as a tribute to the music of the mythical and fellow-Argentine band, Crucis, performing songs by the legendary seventies’ group, which had been a huge influence on Nexus. Both outfits’ musical styles are intrinsically related and effortlessly included in the so-called Symphonic Progressive Rock movement.

This album represented the mythological band’s tenth album. It was released back in 1978 and marked the return of Ricardo Soulé to the group, who had initially left in 1974. This meant the original threesome’s return to the Rock & Blues style they were famously renowned for. The album became the last of Vox Dei’s first era, before their 1981 split.

Oveja Negra were a Rock & Folk band in a similar sound vein to Nito Mestre and Canturbe. They formed part of the wave of new groups that emerged during Argentina’s return to democracy, after the last civic-military dictatorship of 1976-1983, and set themselves apart especially because of their excellent vocal harmonies.

InterINdisciplinary conceptual work which merges music, poetry and images. However, it does nothing more than highlight the endless stupidities that we take for granted as being normalities, and which condition our actions, our thoughts, and even our feelings. Agustín Guerrero Quinteto’s music is accompanied by poetry written by Pablo Marchetti and video art contributions by courtesy of Gonzalo Duro. The book is organized according to each of the fifteen pieces that make up “Estupidez” (Stupidity), and each segment is comprised by the “explanation” of the piece, the poem, an image of the visual intervention, and score.

Recorded in the company of many top-level guest musicians, the album, despite its undeniable musical quality, did not enjoy the success it fully deserved. Back in 1990, Espíritu's guitarist and composer recorded several Instrumental compositions on a cassette in a Fusion-infused style (which was typical of those times), including Pop basics, Latin Jazz arrangements, and hints of Progressive Rock. This should have been Osvaldo's first solo album, but he was never able to get it released. After several years, he recommenced the project and the tracks have been updated with the addition of new instrumentation and a modernized sound.

The return of mythical Argentine band Manal in 1980 really hit the big time, with five live concerts at the City of Buenos Aires' "Obras" Stadium in May and a sixth one held on June 14th (which this recording originated from.) They later toured the country's biggest cities. In 1984, a second volume was released on cassette format, which featured three additional songs not included in the original LP first time around, and that were updated with better sound quality. These were added as bonus tracks on this CD.

Compelled by his love for a certain long play, the plastic artist, graphic designer and writer, Fidel Sclavo, organized an in-depth, close-up overview of French poet, playwright and essayist Artaud (who passed away sometime during the mid-20th century) and Artaude (an iconic totem of Argentine popular culture during the last few decades of the 20th century.) Sclavo's drift and particular, freehand-type of prose, finds real treasures (bonds, cross-inspirations, quotes) and delivers a new, foreign, devoid of conventionalisms' look and listen, throughout 37 minutes of rustless "Spinettean" glory.

Back in April 1973, this fantastic Jazz trio recorded an album that due to unknown reasons, was never released, and no wonder, as the master tape has been lost for almost fifty years.
